Hong Kong Airlines was awarded the ISO 9001 quality management system certificate for its Ground Operations and Information Technology (IT) departments, following the same certification to its other departments since 2014, the airline said.
At present, a total of nine departments including commercial, finance, procurement, human resources and administration, corporate governance and development, service delivery, cargo, ground operation and IT are certified.
The company has established a series of management mechanisms, such as quality objectives, customer satisfaction surveys, continuous improvement, and internal audits, to improve management efficiency and quality. ISO 9001 International Standard not only provides a framework for sustainable operation, but also serves as a platform for Hong Kong Airlines to achieve higher development goals.
Hong Kong Airlines is a full-service airline with a wide destination network covering 36 major cities across the Asia Pacific region, including Gold Coast, Auckland, Beijing, Shanghai, Taipei, Tokyo, Sapporo, Seoul, Bangkok, Bali and Okinawa. The company has also signed codeshare agreements with 11 airlines and 69 interline partners. The company´s current operating fleet is made up of 34 Airbus aircraft, consisting of 29 passenger aircraft and 5 freighters.
