Hong Kong Airlines has been awarded Skytrax 4-star rating with a jump in global ranking from No. 29 to No. 24, becoming the only Hong Kong-based airline that made progress in ranking this year, the company said.
The airline also took one step further to win second place in Skytrax “World´s Best Regional Airlines”, demonstrating its continuous enhancement over the years.
Tang King Shing, Vice Chairman of Hong Kong Airlines was invited to receive the honour on behalf of the company at a ceremony staged by Skytrax at 2017 Paris Air Show.
Hong Kong Airlines Ltd. provides passenger and cargo transportation services primarily in Beijing, Shanghai, Sanya, Taipei, Sapporo, Bangkok, Bali, and Okinawa. The company also offers direct transportation services from Hong Kong to Australia; special cargo handling, as well as other cargo services in the areas of unit load devices and contour, dangerous goods, express and priority shipments, live animal transportation, courier and charter services, and on-forwarding services.
Hong Kong Airlines Ltd. was formerly known as CR Airways Ltd. and changed its name to Hong Kong Airlines Ltd. in September 2006. The company was founded in 2001 and is based in Lantau, Hong Kong.
