CLEAR has added two hospitality industry veterans, Kerry Held – Senior Vice President of Direct Sales and Corporate Partnerships, and Ben Feilen – Senior Vice President of Operations, to the its leadership team, the company said.
Held previously worked as Director of Client Relations at Hospitality Quotient, the consulting arm of Danny Meyer´s Union Square Hospitality Group, will oversee the sales, training, and development teams while also negotiating corporate partnerships.
Feilen was most recently responsible for overseeing OTG´s airport businesses. At CLEAR he will be responsible for operations at the company´s growing network of 21 airport locations and seven professional sports venues, with a focus on ensuring fast, predictable service every time a member uses CLEAR.
The new appointments follow a major national expansion by CLEAR into airports around the country over the last several months. In the coming weeks CLEAR will be opening at LAX, bringing its airport network to 22 locations.
CLEAR´s technology uses fingerprints and iris images to confirm members´ identities instantly. Travelers have used CLEAR, certified as a “qualified anti-terrorism technology” by the US Department of Homeland Security, more than five million times to move through airport security lines. The technology is also available at select professional sports stadiums.
CLEAR is a biometric identity platform, with a growing base of nearly one million members nationwide.
