Hawaiian Airlines reports 3% increase in Q3 2016 passenger traffic

Hawaiian Airlines, Inc. (NASDAQ: HA), has reported 2,918,230 passengers transported in the third quarter 2016, compared to 2,832,572 passengers transported in the third quarter 2015, an increase of 3.0 percent, the company said.

The company reported 4,170,671 in third quarter 2016 revenue passenger miles (RPM), compared to 3,884,851 in the third quarter 2015, an increase of 7.4 percent. Available seat miles (ASM) in the third quarter 2016 were 4,894,768, compared to 4,663,198 in the third quarter 2015, an increase of 5.0 percent.

Load factor in the third quarter 2016 was 85.2 percent compared to 83.3 percent in the third quarter 2015, an increase of 1.9 pts.

Year-to-date 2016 passenger traffic was 8,321,114, compared to 8,014,398 year-to-date in 2015, an increase of 3.8 percent.

Year-to-date 2016 RPMs were 11,559,795, compared to 10,822,970, an increase of 6.8 percent. Year-to-date 2016 ASMs were 13,813,955, compared to 13,334,528, an increase of 3.6 percent.

The company reported a year-to-date load factor in 2016 of 83.7 percent, compared to 81.2 percent year-to-date in 2015, an increase of 2.5 pts.

Hawaiian Airlines is a subsidiary of Hawaiian Holdings, Inc., offering non-stop service to 11 US gateway cities and service from Japan, South Korea, China, Australia, New Zealand, American Samoa and Tahiti. The airline provides 160 jet flights daily among the Hawaiian Islands and 200 flights system wide.
