Harris Corporation (NYSE:HRS) employees are celebrating National Engineers Week (EWeek), honoring the company´s spirit of innovation and recognizing the accomplishments of its engineers and scientists in communication systems, space and intelligence systems, and electronic systems during the past year, the company said.
EWeek was launched more than 65 years ago by the National Society of Professional Engineers to kindle student interest in technology careers using real-world examples and education. Harris has invited students involved in regional Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) programs to participate in select events.
Events include challenges and competitions featuring drone engineering, computer coding, engineering Olympics, balsa bridge building, and others.
