Hainan Airlines provides airborne menu designed by Michelin-starred chefs

Hainan Airlines has launched its new “Restaurant on Board” service at the Grand Hyatt Beijing, bringing together Michelin-starred chefs as well as Chinese chefs and gourmet food experts, the company said.

With the new service, the Skytrax five-star airline will provide passengers with an exclusive menu on in-flight services for passengers boarding Hainan Airlines´ flights departing from Paris, Berlin and Brussels.

Hainan Airlines said it plans to launch more in-flight special and gourmet meals based on new international routes in the future. The airline has also hired Chinese chefs as advisors for the Chinese food served so Chinese tourists returning home can experience authentic Chinese meals while on board. In addition to providing full support for the design and preparation of meals served on Hainan Airlines´ international routes, the chefs will be on board the flight and, while visiting with the passengers, will have them sample the foods as they share stories behind the research and development that went into the creation of the new meals.

Hainan Airlines Company Limited is a privately owned air transport company headquartered in Haikou, Hainan, People´s Republic of China. It operates scheduled domestic and international services on 500 routes from Hainan and nine locations on the mainland, as well as charter services.
