Google announces new smartphones

Google (NASDAQ: GOOG) said it has announced two Nexus smartphones: Nexus 5X manufactured by LG and Nexus 6P manufactured by Huawei.

Both smartphones feature Nexus Imprint which uses FPC´s touch fingerprint sensor FPC1025 to ensure industry leading biometric performance for these two Nexus devices which are the first smartphones to use Google´s new Android 6.0, a.k.a Marshmallow release, which integrates fingerprint sensor capabilities.

In addition to Android 6.0 and its integrated support for fingerprint sensors Nexus 5X and Nexus 6P includes Android Pay, a secure payment service utilizing the fingerprint sensor for secure and convenient mobile payments.
