GOL reports BRL233m in Q3 2016 operating income

GOL Linhas Aéreas Inteligentes S.A. (NYSE: GOL) has reported capacity in the domestic and international markets, measured by ASK, reduced by 4.3 percent and 21.4 percent respectively over the same period in 2015, producing an overall GOL system reduction of 6.7 percent, the company said.

In the same period, demand for the company´s seats, measured by RPK, decreased by 2.9 percent in the domestic market and 21.1 percent in the international market. In the overall GOL system, the decrease was 5.3 percent.

In the third quarter 2016, GOL´s total load factor increased by 1.2 percentage point over the third quarter 2015, reaching 79.8 percent. The domestic market increase was 1.2 percentage point to 80.4 percent, while the international load factor climbed by 0.3 percentage points to 74.6 percent.
The company recorded third-quarter net revenue of BRL2.4 billion, 3.5 percent down in the annual comparison. Net revenue in the last 12months was BRL9.9 billion.
