Brazil-Based GOL Linhas AÃ©reas Inteligentes S.A. (NYSE: GOL) has reported a 2.5% increase to BRL 8.3 billion in the second quarter of 2018, the company said.
The company reported other second quarter highlights included:
-an average yield per passenger of BRL 25.74, an increase of 7.6% compared to 2Q17
-an average load factor 78.1%, an increase of 0.2 p.p. compared to 2Q17
-on-time performance of 93.6% in 2Q18 according to Infraero.
The combination of higher demand and optimized pricing resulted in net revenue for the quarter of BRL 2.4 billion, an increase of 9.0% compared to 2Q17. Net RASK was BRL 22.05 in Q2 2018, an increase of 6.7% over 2Q17. Net PRASK increased 8.0% over Q2 2017, reaching BRL 20.11 cents. Average fare increased by 6.0% from BRL 268 to BRL 284. GOL´s 2018 net revenue guidance is approximately BRL 11.5 billion.
