The GoFly Prize, an international incentive competition to create personal flying device, has announced 10 winners in Phase I of the challenge, the company said.
Boeing is the grand sponsor of the competition, which launched in September 2017 and has rallied thousands of innovators.
GoFly is a comprised of almost 3,000 innovators across 95 countries, and the 10 winning teams from Latvia, the Netherlands, Japan, UK and US underscore the competition´s international scope.
GoFly will continue to award almost USD 2m over the next 16 months. Phase II awards will include $50,000 prizes awarded to teams with the best prototypes in March 2019. Phase III will unveil the grand prize winner.
