General Atomics awarded USD 189m contract for UAVs for Belgium

US Department of Defense has announced General Atomics Aeronautical Systems Inc. has been awarded a USD 188,866,819 undefinitized contract action for four MQ-9B unmanned air vehicles (UAVs) for Belgium, the company said.

Belgium´s MA-9B SkyGuardian´s procurement includes the purchase of two certifiable ground control stations, spares and support equipment.

Work will be performed in Poway, California, and is expected to be completed March 31, 2024.

This contract involves Foreign Military Sales (FMS) to Belgium and is the result of a sole-source acquisition. FMS funds in the amount of USD 94,341,260 are being obligated at the time of award.
