Garmin® G5000™ integrated flight deck enters final stages of certification

Garmin International Inc., a unit of Garmin Ltd. (NASDAQ: GRMN), was issued Type Inspection Authorization (TIA) for the G5000 integrated flight deck on the Beechjet 400A and Hawker 400XP aircraft by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), the company said.

TIA initiates the formal FAA flight evaluation of the G5000 flight deck modernization program, indicating this program is in its final stages of certification.

Type Inspection Authorization requires intensive examination of the modernized avionics suite and demonstrates compliance with Federal Aviation Regulations (FAR´s). The accumulated flight test hours, engineering development and TIA flight evaluation paves the way for the G5000 integrated flight deck to soon receive Supplemental Type Certification (STC) and begin customer deliveries.

Beechjet 400A and Hawker 400XP owners and operators placing an order for the G5000 Integrated Flight Deck, may take advantage of substantial savings on safety enhancing G5000 options, including Synthetic Vision Technology (SVTâ„¢) and Turbulence Detection for the GWXâ„¢ 70 weather radar.
