Garmin introduces head-up display system for integrated flight decks

Garmin International Inc., a unit of Garmin Ltd. (NASDAQ: GRMN), has announced the Garmin Head-up Display (GHD 2100), for super-midsize, midsize, and light business aircraft, the company said.

The GHD is a compact, self-contained projection system with a large 30-degree by 24-degree field-of-view.

Driven by the Garmin Integrated Flight Deck, the GHD projects a familiar presentation of critical flight information, symbology and more, contributing to increased safety and operational benefits and providing optimal situational awareness throughout every phase of flight.

Garmin´s aviation business segment is a provider of solutions to OEM, aftermarket, military and government customers. Its portfolio includes navigation, communication, flight control, hazard avoidance, an expansive suite of ADS-B solutions and other products.

Garmin serves five primary business units, including automotive, aviation, fitness, marine, and outdoor recreation.
