Marriott International was recognized as the Best Hotel Chain in the Americas and Asia/Pacific, as well as for having the Best Guest Loyalty Program. Four Seasons Hotels & Resorts won two GlobeRunner Awards, one for being the Best Hotel Chain in Europe/Middle East/Africa, the other for Best Hotel Chain Dining/Restaurant.
Transaero Airlines won two GlobeRunner Awards, one for being the Best Airline in Europe/Middle East/Africa, and one for having the Best Airline Food and Wine, giving the carrier its third and fourth GlobeRunner Awards in a three-year period.
For the second year in a row, readers recognized Delta Air Lines as the Best Airline in the Americas and, for the fourth consecutive year, Singapore Airlines won a GlobeRunner Award as the Best Airline in Asia/Pacific.
Honors for Best Airport in the Americas went to San Francisco International Airport, giving the airport its second GlobeRunner Award. Top recognition also went to Mercedes-Benz as the Best Car Manufacturer in the World and Hertz as Best Car Rental Chain in the World, with the latter continuing a four-year winning streak.
