FlyersRights submits petition to DOT to mandate mask rule on airplanes

FlyersRights.org has announced it has petitioned the Department of Transportation (DOT) for a mandatory mask for all persons on planes and at airports, the organization said.

FlyersRights cited DOT´s exclusive jurisdiction over air travel and DOT´s own recommendations to airlines in appealing for a rule on wearing face masks.

FlyersRights.org has demanded masking since March and some airlines, unions, consumer organizations, the International Air Transport Association (IATA) as soon as leading public health organizations recommended them,

FlyersRights.org, is an airline passenger organization established in 2007 that advocates for passenger rights and interests, represents passengers on the FAA Aviation Rulemaking Advisory Committee.
