Flatirons Jouve supports Boeing 777x program

Flatirons Jouve (Flatirons) has announced its selection as the authoring supplier to Honeywell Aerospace (Honeywell) for work done in support of the new Boeing 777x program, the company said.

As part of the newly executed agreement, Flatirons will provide services to produce component maintenance manuals and related technical information needed by Boeing to support the delivery of 777x aircraft to customer operators.

The Boeing 777x program represents a large-scale update to the successful 777 program, which has seen the delivery of more than 1,500 aircraft since production started in 1993. Unlike previous generations of the 777 (which employed the iSpec 2200 specification for information exchange), the 777x will require suppliers like Honeywell to deliver technical information in the S1000D specification. The transition to S1000D is aimed at making manufacturer technical information more dynamic, relevant, and actionable to maintainers and operators of complex assets.
