Flatirons chosen by FAA's terminal second level engineering

Flatirons Solutions said that the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has awarded a new contract to Flatirons in support of the FAA´s Terminal Second Level Engineering (TSLE) organization.

The contract is for the procurement of software products, training, and technical support needed to create, configuration manage, assemble, and deploy National Airspace System (NAS) system operations and maintenance documentation leveraging the S1000D international standard, which is optimized for the needs of mission-critical assets and infrastructure.

The period of performance for the contract is one year. Under the contract, Flatirons will provide industry-leading CORENA Suite products to author, manage, and publish maintenance documentation in electronic formats such as PDFs and S1000D compliant Interactive Electronic Technical Publications (IETPs). Once published, it is planned that the maintenance documents will be accessed by FAA service staff using the CORENA Pinpoint IETP viewer and off the shelf Adobe products.
