As an important validation of FWA deployment, Alaska Communications has reached a milestone in its deployment of high-speed broadband service to underserved areas of Alaska under the Federal Communications Commission´s (FCC) Connect America Fund Phase II (CAF-II). Alaska Communications expects to cover approximately 6,000 households by the end of 2018 covering both CAF II eligible and other locations in the respective communities.
