Finnair OYJ (HEX:FIA1S) board of directors has elected Jouko Karvinen as vice chairman of the board, the airline said.
The board also appointed members to its Audit Committee and Compensation and Nomination Committee.
Maija-Liisa Friman was elected Chairman of the Audit Committee and Jouko Karvinen and Nigel Turner as members of the Audit Committee.
Jussi Itävuori was elected Chairman of the Compensation and Nomination Committee and Gunvor Kronman and Jaana Tuominen as members of the Compensation and Nomination Committee.
The board assessed the independence of its members and concluded that all members are non-executive members independent of the company and its major shareholders.
Finnair is a network airline specialising in passenger and cargo traffic between Asia and Europe. Finnair is the only Nordic carrier with a 4-star Skytrax ranking and a member of the oneworld alliance.
