FAA grants approval to AirEL Technology for ETL usage

AirEL, the developer and manufacturer of patented illuminated vehicle identification, has announced the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has given approval for Electroluminescent Lighting Technology (ETL) for Use on Airport Vehicle Numbers, the company said.

AirEL provides airports with enhanced illuminated vehicle identification at night for landside and airside operations and allows air traffic controllers the ability to identify vehicles night and day.

AirEL started in the public safety industry and is now being utilized on airports throughout the United States including John Wayne Airport, Long Beach Airport, Phoenix Airport, Reno Airport, DFW Airport and Boston Logan Airport.
