Expedient, a provider of data center colocation, cloud computing and managed hosting services, has hired Doug Theis as director of market strategy for its Indianapolis market, the company said.
Theis has been a part of the Indianapolis IT scene for 32 years in many different roles, including founding chairperson of the Techmakers IT networking group, business development for colocation and IT infrastructure service providers and as a speaker on IT strategy. Theis also wrote and published the Data Center News Digest, a widely read monthly newsletter in Indianapolis.
In his new role at Expedient, Theis will be responsible for spearheading new partnerships and community involvement, such as Expedient´s 2016 sponsorships of Sparks Tech, a monthly event where CIOs, CTOs and technology professionals gather to hear three inspiring talks from technology leaders who are passionate about change, giving back and the impact of tech on the human experience.
Expedient offers managed services such as virtualization, cloud computing, remote backups, management of equipment, storage area networks and more. Expedient´s legal name is Continental Broadband LLC, which is a wholly owned subsidiary of Landmark Media Enterprises LLC, a private firm whose predecessor companies bring more than 100 of experience operating media and technology interests.
