Etihad Airways, Jimmy Choo partner to celebrate shoe brand's 20th anniversary

Etihad Airways, the official airline of New York Fashion Week, has extended its commitment to the fashion industry by collaborating with Jimmy Choo to celebrate the shoe designer´s 20th anniversary, the company said.

As part of the celebration, the airline is holding events at JFK International Airport and in NYC, including a VIP event hosted by international models featured in the 20th anniversary campaign and a live musical performance by Mary J. Blige. Models include Amber Valletta, Milla Jovovich and Sasha Pivovarova.

Etihad Airways and supermodel Amber Valletta unveiled the airline´s A380 livery, featuring an NYFW: The Shows-branded logo on the aircraft engines and doors at JFK International Airport.

This collaboration follows an announcement made in April 2016 of the airline´s comprehensive global agreement with WME|IMG as a long-term partner of the fashion industry, connecting the airline with the fashion capitals of the world. New York is the latest stop in the sponsorship, which supports 17 fashion week events worldwide annually. It follows the airline´s recent participation at Lakmé Fashion Week in Mumbai, and shows in London and Milan will follow next month.
