Envoy Air returns to LaGuardia as base of operations

Envoy Air Inc. has reported it plans to re-open New York´s LaGuardia International Airport (LGA) as a base of operations for pilots, flight attendants and mechanics beginning in the first quarter 2017, the company said.

Envoy said it will operate the Embraer 145/140 family of aircraft from LaGuardia to destinations in the US and Canada.

Envoy Air Inc. is a wholly owned subsidiary of American Airlines Group that operates 150 American Eagle flights, on about 800 daily flights to more than 150 destinations throughout the United States, Canada and Mexico.

American Airlines and American Eagle offer an average of nearly 6,700 flights per day to nearly 350 destinations in more than 50 countries.
