Edgewater Networks certifies EdgeMarc Intelligent Edges

Edgewater Networks has announced QuickConnect Interoperability Lab certification of TWAMP functionality between Panasonic´s KX-TGP600 DECT endpoints and Edgewater Networks´ EdgeMarc Intelligent Edges, the company said.

When initiated, jitter, latency, and packet loss can be accurately measured, increasing Quality of Service and service assurance with TWAMP-enabled endpoints.

Two-Way Active Measurement Protocol (TWAMP) is an extension of One-Way Active Measurement Protocol (OWAMP) with the addition of the performance measurement of round-trip and two-way metrics. It is an effective performance monitoring process between any two TWAMP-enabled endpoints in an IP-based network, using time stamps applied at the endpoints to enable greater accuracy and account for processing and network delays.

Edgewater Networks´ EdgeMarc Intelligent Edges is a primary component of Network Edge Orchestration platform, which includes the cloud-based EdgeView Service Control Center and the customer premises-based Intelligent Edges.
