Eccrine Systems, Inc. has been awarded a USD3.96 million dollar contract by the United States Air Force Research Laboratory, the company said.
The award is focused on the development of a next generation, non-invasive sensing system for the monitoring of specific molecular biomarkers in human sweat.
Development efforts will leverage the progress of previous sweat sensing R&D projects performed in collaboration with the University of Cincinnati and the AFRL. Eccrine is partnering with UC for portions of this new project and will utilize the AFRL´s advanced testing capabilities at Wright Patterson Air Force Base in Dayton, Ohio.
