DISH Network Q1 2017 revenue down slightly YoY

DISH Network Corporation (NASDAQ: DISH) first quarter 2017 revenue totaled USD 3.68bn, compared to USD 3.83bn for the corresponding period in 2016, the company said.

Subscriber-related revenue for the quarter totaled USD 3.64bn, compared to USD 3.78bn in subscriber-related revenue for the year-ago period.

Net income attributable to DISH Network totaled USD 376m for the quarter ending March 31, 2017, compared to net income of USD 400m from the year-ago quarter. Diluted earnings per share for the quarter ending March 31, 2017 were USD 0.76, compared with USD 0.86 during the same period in 2016.

In the first quarter, DISH activated approximately 547,000 gross new Pay-TV subscribers, compared to approximately 657,000 gross new Pay-TV subscribers in the prior year´s first quarter.
