Discovery Air Technical Services (DATS), a subsidiary of Canadian speciality aviation company Discovery Air Inc, announced on Monday that its new subsidiary Aero Vision Technologies International (AVTi) is to be located at the Saguenay Airport QC (CYBG, also known as Bagotville), where it will begin the construction of a Research and Development Centre.
The company said AVTi, with a mandate to develop software solutions for the aviation market, has formed a joint venture with Boston-based Visidyne, a provider of airborne and space data collection and processing. AVTi has also entered into technological agreements with DATAFACE from Houston and Wan IT from Brussels. It plans to integrate DATAFACE and Wan IT technology in the initial offering of AVTi products and to provide customer care and support.
President of DATS and AVTi, Jean Genest, also stated that he has chosen International Consultant Yves. L. Leblicq to take the lead of AVTi.
