Digi International hires new leader for Cold Chain Solutions Group

Digi International®, (NASDAQ: DGII) said it has announced that Jamie Williams has been appointed vice president and general manager of Digi Cold Chain Solutions effective immediately.

The purpose-built service offering allows restaurants, grocers, convenience stores, warehouses and transportation companies to prevent spoilage and loss, lower labor costs and help organizations comply with food safety regulations.

Williams most recently served as president of PeopleNet Canada, a leading provider of Internet-based onboard computing and mobile communications systems to the transportation industry.

In his new role, Williams will be responsible for guiding the development of Digi International´s new Cold Chain Solutions group, which was created through the acquisition of bluenica, a company focused on temperature monitoring of perishable goods in the food industry.
