Dialog Semiconductor Atmel acquisition review completed

Dialog Semiconductor plc (XETRA: DLG) said that the US Department of Justice and Federal Trade Commission have granted early termination of the waiting period under the Hart-Scott-Rodino Antitrust Improvements Act of 1976 (HSR) for the proposed acquisition by Dialog of Atmel Corporation.

Dialog and Atmel have also received notification from Germany´s Federal Cartel Office that the acquisition has been cleared to proceed.

Dialog provides highly integrated standard and custom mixed-signal integrated circuits (ICs), optimised for smartphone, tablet, IoT, LED Solid State Lighting (SSL) and Smart Home applications. It brings strong expertise to the rapid development of ICs while providing flexible and dynamic support, innovation and the assurance of dealing with an established business partner. The company is headquartered in London with a global sales, R&D and marketing organisation. In 2014, it had USD1.16 billion in revenue.
