Delta reports 19.7m in October 2019 passenger traffic

Delta Air Lines (NYSE: DAL) has reported 19,764,828 in total passenger traffic (RPMs) in October 2019, compared to 18,780,662 in October 2018, an increase of 5.2%, the company said.

Total 2019 year-to-date passenger traffic was 201,422,560, compared to 190,782,516 in the same period of 2018, an increase of 5.6%.

Capacity, as measured in available seat miles (ASMs) in October 2019 was 23,093,185, a 5.1% increase over 21,963,910 in October 2018. Year-to-date ASMS in 2019 were 233,014,120, a 4.6% increase over 222,805,575 ASMs reported in the same period of 2018.

Total load factor in October 2019 was 85.6%, a 0.1 pts increase over 85.5% in October 2018. Year-to-date load factor in 2019 was 86.4%, a 0.8 pts increase over 85.6% in the same period of 2018.

Passengers boarded in October 2019 were reported at 17,506,753, an increase of 5.8% over 16,546,662 in October 2018. Year-to-date passengers boarded are 171,699,933, compared to
161,735,111 in the same period of 2018, an increase of 6.2%.
