Delta Private Jets names new company president

Delta Private Jets has named Gary Hammes as president of the 30+ year operator in the private jet industry, the company said.

As president, Hammes will be responsible for both financial and operational performance, growing the Delta Private Jets brand and the seamless travel solution, and transforming the customer service platform.

Hammes, a 30-year airline veteran, most recently served as the Chief Operating Officer at Virgin Australia where he managed the safe operations of a fleet of 130 aircraft, secured three independent Aircraft Operating Certificates, and led efforts to maximize worldwide revenue. Hammes also previously served as the Senior Vice President and COO at World Airways and ASTAR Air Cargo Inc.

Delta Private Jets, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of Delta Air Lines (NYSE: DAL), provides aircraft charter services, aircraft management and its distinctive Delta Private Jets Card. The company operates an FBO (Fixed Base Operation), the Delta Jet Center, at the Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport (CVG), as well as the Tech Service Center, a comprehensive Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul facility (MRO).
