Delta celebrates 30 years of air service to Dublin, Ireland

Atlanta-based Delta Airlines has marked 30 years of air service to Dublin, Ireland, the company said.

Since its first flight in 1988, Delta has carried almost five million customers to Dublin.

In June 1988, Delta flew to Dublin from Atlanta via Shannon five times a week, using a Lockheed L-1011-500 TriStar aircraft. In 2018, Delta operates nonstop flights to three cities in the United States from Dublin — Atlanta, Boston and New York-JFK — flying its popular A330 as well as Boeing 767 and 757 aircraft all with upgraded interiors.

The airline also has a summer service from Shannon to New York-JFK.

Delta Air Lines serves more than 180 million customers each year. In 2018, Delta was named to Fortune´s top 50 Most Admired Companies in addition to being named the most admired airline for the seventh time in eight years.
