Software and professional services supplier DDC-I has announced the availability of its Des DO-178real-time operating system (RTOS) for Abaco Systems, the company said.
The RTOS will be available for Abaco´s rugged SBC314 3U VPX single board computer. The integrated multicore platform greatly accelerates the development, certification and deployment of high-performance, safety-critical avionics applications.
The SBC314 is a rugged, 3U VPX single board computer with XMC/PMC mezzanine expansion. Based on a dual-threaded, four core, AltiVec-equipped T2081 processor running at speeds up to1.4-GHz, the Level 1-5 air/conduction cooled CPU board provides up to 4Gbytes of DDR3L memory and features versatile network and I/O options, including Gigabit Ethernet, GPIO, SATA, PCIe, and USB. For low power applications, the SBC314 is also available with a T1042 processor, which consumes less than 7.5W.
