Dailymotion has partnered with Peer5 to deploy Peer5´s peer-Âto-peer video delivery technology that enhances the streaming of live video content on Dailymotion, the company said.
The company has investigated new technologies to manage the exponential growth of live video streaming across its various distribution channels. Peer5´s WebRTC solution solves the issues of capacity, quality and cost-efficiency, yet requires no end-user software installation.
Dailymotion is part of Vivendi, the international media and content group. It attracts 300 million users who watch 3.5 billion videos on its player each month.
Peer5 operates a serverless content delivery network (CDN) for scaled video streaming, providing a TV-Âgrade broadcasting solution for the internet.
