D-Fend, US National Security collaborate to combat increasing threat of rogue drones

D-Fend Solutions, an Israeli counter-drone solution provider, has announced it has collaborated with the US Assistant Secretary of Defense Special Operations/Low-Intensity Conflict (ASD SO/LIC) Combating Terrorism Technical Support Office (CTTSO) to protect US troops and assure US national security against rogue commercial drones, the company said.

Over the past 18 months, D-Fend has worked with the CTTSO to co-develop D-Fend´s EnforceAir advanced C-sUAS capabilities. During the last six months, the EnforceAir has been successfully deployed by more than twenty US DOD, DHS, and DOJ units and agencies against the growing threat of commercial drones.

Among the agencies currently operating D-Fend´s EnforceAir are the US Special Operations units, US Army, FBI, Department of Homeland Security, US Customs and Borders Patrol (CBP), US Marshal service, and more.

The Assistant Secretary of Defense for Special Operations/Low-Intensity Conflict (ASD (SO/LIC)) established CTTSO in 1999 to consolidate its research and development programs previously administered by the Office of the Assistant Secretary of Defense (Command, Control, Communications, and Intelligence).

D-Fend Solutions is a provider of advanced autonomous c-UAS solutions. The company has recently secured USD 28M in funding led by Claridge Israel with the participation of the current shareholder, Vertex Israel.
