Cricket said it will provide positive reinforcement to students and schools around the country through its “Go Positive” contest, in which it will recognize schools that have activities, special events and other programs in place that encourage positive behaviors and empower students.
Cricket will work with family and lifestyle expert Daisy Teh, also known as The It Mom blogger, to award 15 schools nationwide USD1,000 each for programs that spread positivity.
Cricket invites parents and community members to visit a participating Cricket store and nominate a K-12 public or charter school in their community that operates an in-class, before or after school program that supports any of the following:
Mentoring and youth development
The Arts — music, dance, theater, media arts, literature, design, visual arts
Physical fitness and sports
Other activities that promote positivity
Submit your nomination at a participating store in the following metro areas through September 30: District of Columbia; Houston, Texas; Chicago, Illinois; Los Angeles, California; Oakland, California; San Diego, California; New York City, New York; Miami, Florida; San Antonio, Texas; Dallas, Texas; Tucson, Arizona; Atlanta, Georgia; Detroit, Michigan; and Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
