Coriant awarded for best optical open line system product

Coriant, a supplier of packet optical, IP, and SDN solutions to Tier 1 global service providers and web-scale Internet operators, has announced that its Coriant Grooveâ„¢ G30 Network Disaggregation Platform has been awarded the “Best Optical Open Line System (OLS) Product” at the annual Next Generation Optical Networking and Optical Data Centre Interconnect (NGON & Optical DCI) industry event held in Nice, France, the company said.

Purpose-built as a disaggregated and open line system to manage surging data traffic volumes, the Coriant Grooveâ„¢ G30 OLS solution is a configuration of the Groove G30 Network Disaggregation Platform that delivers industry-leading density and flexibility in a highly compact and modular 1RU form factor.

The open, plug-and-play optical layer solution provides 3x to 5x the density over comparable offerings, and gives network operators the ultimate in configuration flexibility to cost-efficiently address diverse Data Center Interconnect (DCI) and metro transport applications, including coherent and direct detect (PAM4) interconnect. Through the Groove OLS configuration, service providers and cloud and data center operators can build their own customized, scalable optical line solution with best-in-class functions, all enabled through open APIs.

Coriant delivers innovative and dynamic networking solutions for a fast-changing and cloud-centric business world. The Coriant portfolio of SDN-enabled, edge-to-core packet optical networking and DCI solutions enables network operators to cost-efficiently scale network capacity, reduce operational complexity, and create the resilient foundation for a new generation of mobile, video, and cloud services.
