Panama Digest has reported Copa Airlines is set to resume operations with Panama City´s Tocumen International Airport as mini hub, the news source said.
The airline announced that starting August 14, it will fly to a limited number of cities, including Miami, New York, Washington D.C., Mexico City, San Jose, Santo Domingo, Quito, Guayaquil, Sao Paolo and Santiago de Chile. Flights have been grounded since March 22 when borders closed due to COVID-19.
In this initial test phase, flights in and out of Panama are available to Panamanian citizens and resident foreigners. Passengers will have to comply with immigration and health requirements, and flights are subject to change depending on active restrictions and circumstances.
