CommutAir has welcomed John H. Francis as the Director of Systems Operations Control (SOC), the company said.
John joined CommutAir after a decade long tenure at ExpressJet in Atlanta. His immediate task will be to successfully manage the SOC as the company expands its network while adding Embraer ERJ145 jets and retiring Bombardier Dash-8 aircraft, the company said.
CommutAir is hiring in all areas to reach their goals of doubling in size for a second year. The consistent addition of ERJ 145s also creates a need for additional pilots. In response, they have created an industry leading pay and benefits package for pilots.
CommutAir, operating as United Express, was founded in 1989 and is majority owned by Champlain Enterprises Inc. It operates more than 900 weekly flights to more than 30 destinations, with Bombardier Q200/300 and Embraer ERJ145 aircraft, from bases in Newark, NJ, and Washington-Dulles. The company has 800+ employees.
