CommutAir captains appointed FAA aircrew examiners

CommutAir has reported captains Timothy Bell and Zachary Davis, have been appointed aircrew program designees (APD) under the FAA aircrew designated examiners (ADE) program, the company said.

The company said this highest FAA designation allows Bell and Davis to perform airman type certifications on the ERJ-145 on behalf of the FAA.

CommutAir, operating as United Express, was founded in 1989 and is majority owned by Champlain Enterprises Inc. The company operates more than 800 weekly flights to 30 plus destinations, with Bombardier Q200/Q300 and Embraer ERJ145XR aircraft.
