Commission on Fire Accreditation recognizes rescue & fire fighting team at Detroit Metro Airport

The airport authority that operates Detroit Metropolitan (DTW) and Willow Run (YIP) Airports has been accredited by the Commission on Fire Accreditation International (CFAI), the company said.

The honor recognizes achievements in safety, efficiency, proactive planning, continuous process improvement and outstanding service delivery by fire and emergency service agencies throughout the world.

CFAI and the Center for Public Safety Excellence (CPSE) reaffirmed the service provided by the Detroit Metropolitan and Willow Run Airport Rescue and Fire Fighting (ARFF) team.

Detroit Metropolitan Wayne County Airport (DTW) welcomed more than 33 million passengers in 2015 and offers service from 13 scheduled passenger airlines on more than 1,100 flights per day to and from more than 140 non-stop destinations on four continents.

The Commission on Fire Accreditation International (CFAI) assists the fire and emergency service agencies provide continuous quality improvement and enhance of service delivery to communities.
