Comcast promotes new executive VP

Comcast Corporation has promoted Kathy Zachem to Executive Vice President, Regulatory and State Legislative Affairs, the company said.

Zachem oversees Comcast´s advocacy before federal agencies, including the Federal Communications Commission, as well as in the state regulatory and legislative environments in which the company operates.

Zachem joined Comcast in 2008 and has led the company´s advocacy before federal agencies and state regulatory and legislative bodies. Prior to Comcast, she was a founding partner of the law firm Wilkinson Barker Knauer, LLP, where she practiced communications law for 23 years.

Comcast is a global media and technology company with two primary businesses, Comcast Cable and NBCUniversal. Comcast Cable is one of the nation´s largest video, high-speed Internet and phone providers to residential customers under the XFINITY brand and also provides these services to businesses. NBCUniversal operates news, entertainment and sports cable networks, the NBC and Telemundo broadcast networks, television production operations, television station groups, Universal Pictures and Universal Parks and Resorts.
