Sichuan Airlines, which is based in the Chinese city of Chengdu, has launched flights to Prague, the company said.
The new direct service to the Czech Republic took off from Chengdu´s Shuangliu International Airport, running twice a week using a twin-aisle Airbus A330 aircraft.
On the outbound leg, flight 3U8295 departs Chengdu every Tuesday and Friday at 1245 and arrives in Prague at 1715. The return flight, 3U8296, leaves the Czech capital on the same days at 1915 and arrives back in Chengdu at 1045 the next morning. The flight time is approximately 10 hours.
Prague becomes the airline´s second European destination, following Moscow. Its long-haul expansion is expected to continue in future, with new routes to Los Angeles and Auckland expected to commence in September and December 2016 respectively.
Sichuan Airlines Co., Ltd. is a regional airline headquartered on the grounds of Chengdu Shuangliu International Airport in Chengdu, Sichuan in China, operating mainly scheduled domestic flights out of Chengdu Shuangliu Airport and Chongqing Jiangbei International Airport.
