Charter Communications names EVP of programming acquisition

Charter Communications, Inc. (NASDAQ: CHTR) has named Tom Montemagno executive vice president, programming acquisition, reporting to Charter´s senior executive vice president David Ellen, the company said.

As executive vice president, programming acquisition, he will oversee the negotiations with Charter´s full range of content providers from the major multichannel media companies and regional sports networks to local broadcasters and niche international programmers.

Montemagno most recently served as executive vice president of programming for Cablevision Systems Corporation. During his 27-year tenure at Cablevision, he served in various leadership positions in the programming department including senior vice president of programming acquisition.

Charter Communications, Inc. is a broadband communications company and cable operator in the United States. Charter provides a range of advanced broadband services, including Spectrum TV video entertainment programming, Spectrum internet access, and Spectrum Voice.
