Charlottesville & Albemarle County has gained media attention over the last few months, the Charlottesville Albemarle Convention & Visitors Bureau (CACVB) said.
EnRoute, Air Canada´s in-flight magazine, published a story called “The 8 Top Restaurants and Vineyards in Albemarle County” in its November 2016 issue. The publication has a total readership of 1.5 million.
Additionally, travel website Expedia has named Charlottesville one of the “17 places you must visit in 2017.” Orbitz.com recently featured the Charlottesville area in an article called “4 Overnight Adventures to Add to Your D.C. In addition to serving as the global resource for marketing the tourism assets of Charlottesville and Albemarle County, Virginia, the CACVB assists tour operators, meeting planners, reunions, and other groups in planning visits to the destination. The bureau operates the Downtown Visitor Center, and the Albemarle Tourism and Adventure Center in downtown Crozet. The CACVB also provides a touch-screen kiosk at Monticello´s Thomas Jefferson Visitor Center.
