Airport Strategy and Marketing (ASM) has worked with Cartagena, Colombia to secure its only direct route to Europe, the company said.
AMS provided advice, traffic forecasting and business development support to Sociedad Aeroportuaria de la Costa (SACSA) and Cartagena Tourism, which resulted in a KLM Royal Dutch Airlines´ decision to launch a three-times weekly Amsterdam service, operated by a Boeing 787-9 aircraft.
KLM Royal Dutch Airlines said it plans to introduce flights from Amsterdam to Cartagena´s Rafael Núñez International Airport in March 2017. It will be the first time that Cartagena has had a non-stop link to Europe in ten years.
UK-based ASM was founded in 1993 as a route development consultancy and is part of the EMEA division of UBM.
