Bombardier Commercial Aircraft names Southeast Asia, Australasia VP/Sales

Bombardier Commercial Aircraft (TSX: BBD) has appointed François Cognard as vice president of sales, Southeast Asia and Australasia, the company said.

Cognard is a senior sales leader who will focus on capturing growth and replacement opportunities in the regions that include Australasia, a region of Oceania that comprises Australia, New Zealand, the island of New Guinea, and neighboring islands in the Pacific Ocean and Southeast Asia.

Prior to joining Bombardier, he was the vice president, head of sales, Middle East and North Africa based in Dubai, U.A.E. for Airbus and managed sales activities for customers such as Emirates Airline, Air Arabia, EgyptAir, Ethiopian Airlines and Air Algérie.

Bombardier is a manufacturer of both planes and trains headquartered in Montréal, Canada. In the fiscal year ended December 31, 2015, the company posted revenues of CAD18.2 billion.
