Boeing subsidiary CDG awarded Brandon Hall prize for airplane technician training

Continental DataGraphics (CDG), a subsidiary of Boeing Company (NYSE: BA) has won a Brandon Hall Group Gold award for excellence in using games and simulations for learning and development, the company said.

The company said the interactive, multimedia content for the e-learning materials was developed in collaboration with Boeing´s learning, training and development (LTD) organization.

Boeing LTD is responsible for delivery of training to Boeing and airline customers. The LTD team needed to develop a more cost-effective and time-saving approach to train aircraft technicians on properly refueling oxygen equipment without compromising safety. LTD partnered with the e-learning team at CDG to develop a realistic, interactive 3D simulation and training course based on photos and instructions in aircraft maintenance manuals.
