Boeing names vice president of government operations

The Boeing company [NYSE: BA] has announced that it has named Tim Keating as executive vice president of Government Operations, the company said.

Keating, 56, has served as senior vice president of Government Operations since joining Boeing in May 2008. In this role, Keating leads the company´s public policy efforts, including all US federal, state and local government liaison operations, as well as the Boeing Global Engagement organization. In addition to oversight of the company´s growing global philanthropic activities, he will continue in this capacity and to serve on the Boeing Executive Council.

Keating is a member of the Trilateral Commission, CSIS Advisory Board, board of directors for the National Association of Manufacturers and Board of Trustees for WETA. He is a graduate of the University of Scranton, with a bachelor´s degree in political science, and he has an honorary doctorate of business administration from the University of South Carolina, and a second honorary doctorate of humane letters from Medical University of South Carolina.
