Boeing [NYSE: BA] has named Florent (Flo) Groberg director of Veterans Outreach, the company said.
In this role, Groberg will be responsible for developing and implementing a company-wide giving and engagement strategy for Boeing´s support of military veterans and their families, and he will lead Boeing´s community engagement in the eastern United States.
Groberg is a recipient of the Congressional Medal of Honor, the United States´ highest military honor, for his gallantry, intrepidity and heroism while serving in combat operations in Afghanistan in 2012.
Prior to joining Boeing, Groberg served as a spokesperson for LinkedIn where he was responsible for the promotion of LinkedIn´s veterans program, a tailored job search tool for veterans transitioning out of military roles and into the civilian workforce.
Boeing is an aerospace company and manufacturer of commercial jetliners and defense, space and security systems. The company has hired more than 22,000 veterans.
